Karup Å

Well, some of the best fishing water in Karup Å, with fishing downstream and upstream Hagebro and upstream Høgild bridge, with fishing water up to Karup town and upstream to Skygge.

It is primarily sea trout fishing, but the stream also houses many brown trout and you can often lure one of the larger streamers to take your bait. Occasionally, a few rainbow trout are also caught.

The winding stream in the beautiful river valley has many classic locations. For example, the name Grønbæks Store Hul makes most people's hearts beat a little faster, and the retina sees the fly, spinner or worm swinging around and the sea trout weighing over 10 kg. striking cash. - Every year, several trophy sea trout are caught on the day pass pieces.

Many stretches are characterized by a hilly and wooded Ådal, and the stream meanders through the landscape via one bend after another. The Mejerihullet, Forhåbningshullet, Venskabsbroen and Det grønne Sommerhus are well-known places from the upper section. Ever since the old days, it has been said among local anglers that Fårbæk is now the most beautiful.

On the lower section, the landscape is still hilly and, as on the upper section, the stream meanders through the Ådalen with bends such as Den store Leg, Sommerhus Svinget at Det røde Sommerhus, Møllersvingene, the sorte hul, Pælehullet, Det bløde and Karolines Hul. In addition to Det røde Sommerhus, which is a landmark, Halvtaget is also found on the lower section. Many fish have been displayed and celebrated under Halvtaget throughout the ages, and many anglers have shared their passion in Det røde Sommerhus since it was built almost 100 years ago.

Haderis Å

The Haderis Å is the largest tributary to Karup Å and the confluence occurs at Hagebro, where the fishing right is from Staulund and to the outlet at Hagebro. Exciting brook and sea trout fishing. Try a foam beetle fished upstream, and the sea trout will go crazy! Or just go on an adventure and sneak along the river in unspoiled nature.

Approximately 2.5 kilometers long stretch south of Haderup is protected, which ensures the landscape values on both sides of the river. The protection is located in the middle of the large flat Karup Hedeslette. By Haderis Å are blown-together dune landscapes, which are now overgrown with oak scrub.

Huge water care has been done in recent years with the closure of fish farms, the establishment of spawning banks and the re-looping of inlets. Upstream of the bridge at Haderup, a handicap-friendly fishing stretch has been built.

Stor Å

Storå, is a 104 km long West Jutland river, Denmark's second longest. It rises 70 m above sea level at Gludsted Plantage 10 km southeast of Ikast and runs to Felsted Kog in Nissum.

Storå is known for sea trout and not least salmon. Every year many salmon over 10 kg are landed. Very good fishing water from the Herning municipal border to Holstebro upstream to Nybro by Ørre. Around Hodsager and Brohus the stream lies in its natural bed in a beautiful river valley. Wild brown trout, as well as sea trout and salmon are caught on the fishing water. In addition, the water houses the protected stable.
